Once upon a time I took a small pathway into a forest called “Hallerbos”. This path led me deep into the forest along green patches of wild garlic. Its distinctive smell filled the air. The white starry flowers were about to bloom and added some more magic to these enchanted woods.
The tall beeches were unfolding their green leaves and the dappled sunlight made them shine like small green jewels. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by all these ancient trees with their robust trunks in a lush young green landscape.
And suddenly there was this purple ocean of bluebells covering the ground of the forest. It truly felt like I entered into the most wonderful fairytale while wandering through these flowering carpets!
It’s impossible to describe its magical beauty, so I really hope you’ll find a fairytale forest with bluebells close to where you live so you might experience it yourself!
It was so quiet in this forest with only the background sounds of singing birds and the whispering wind in the trees. And the subtle sweet fragrance of the bluebells lingering in the air. I truly was walking in a fairytale wonderland!
But suddenly I heard some rustle and when I looked around carefully I discovered…
… yes, a roe deer! Have you spotted him too?
By leaving this enchanted forest I felt calm, refreshed and earthed and also a little melancholic. But nevertheless ready to go home and I will always keep this bluebell fairytale memory close to my heart!
The Bluebell by Emily Brontë
The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit’s care.
