A wildflower garden

I recently finished a new glass dome with porcelain flowers titled “wild garden”. Inspired by the wildflowers in my garden I made a composition of different wildflowers and their seedpods that have wonderful medicinal benefits for us and are essential for the bees, other insects and wildlife. Above all they add beauty to our daily lives! So please let’s take care of these delicate wildflowers in our gardens and in nature.

Maybe you can recognise some of these wild flowers: poppies (papaver oriental), heal-all (prunella vulgaris), thistle (cirsium), daisy (leucanthemum vulgare), corn-cockle (agrostemma githago) and ribwort plantain (plantago lanceolata).

“It is a wholesome and necessary thing for us to turn again to the earth and in the contemplation of her beauties to know the sense of wonder and humility. ”

Quote by Rachel Carson

The glass dome measures 27 cm in height and has a diameter of 11 cm. This one is quite bigger than the previous ones I made. But they can all be perfectly combined into a natural still life.

Even the shadows make their own wild flower bouquet!
