‘May stillness be upon your thoughts and silence upon your tongue! For I tell you a tale that was told at the beginning… the one story worth telling… ‘
-Traditional Celtic storyteller’s prologue-
Although I’m not much of a storyteller at all, I would like to tell you a little Irish tale of wildflowers by this porcelain notebook I’ve made. It’s all about some wonderful wildflowers of Ireland.
A new porcelain notebook filled with white pages… waiting to be filled and written on. Perhaps an attempt of a new story, a sketch of a brand new idea, a drawing of an imaginary world, a beautiful poem, …
So many pages, so many possibilities … because everyone has an important story to tell.
The front cover of this unique notebook has imprinted flowers with their corresponding names. These typical Irish wildflowers such as clover, helleborine, heather, ferns and hawthorn are colored in soft shades of pink and green.
Green likely comes to mind when one thinks of Ireland, isn’t it?! No other country is as famous for its green lush as Ireland. That’s why this cover has so many different hues of green.
The back cover has a lovely botanical circle with these Irish flowers and leaves, symbolising the natural rhythm of the seasons which seamlessly flow into each other.
Inside this notebook you’ll discover dried flowers and leaves such as a hawthorn leaf, ferns, grasses and clover. It also contains a little paper envelope to collect your own flowers and some other botanical details.
There are 40 pages of different kinds of beautiful and handmade paper, including pages with botanical illustrations referring to these Irish wildflowers.
The last page of this notebook includes a handwritten Irish blessing, which I wish for you.
‘May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. May songbirds serenade your every step along the way. May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that’s always blue. And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.’
