Inspiration often comes at moments when you least expect it, they say. But it’s true.
I have an endless love and fascination for moss and lichen. Their texture and colors are magnificent! Thinking about how I can use them in my work I came up with the idea to make a still life under a glass bell to keep these moss branches everlasting.
Tiny porcelain mushrooms and toadstools on a carpet of moss are a perfect autumn treasure. And what about a fairytale like chair made of porcelain branches in a tiny wood of real moss branches?
I’ve been collecting and drying seedpods and flowers from the garden to combine with the porcelain creations to make different kind of still life. They all tell a story of my love for nature and it’s fragile details.
Once the porcelain is fired and all the parts are glued together these botanical treasures look like this.. I’m very pleased with the result and I hope you like them too!
