New work

As the market season is in full swing, there are a lot of new creations I’d like to share in this blogpost. During the winter months I’ve been working on new work so there’s much to discover in my botanical wonderland!

As you probably already know,I love going to flea markets and hunting for treasures, like these old watches. I’ve found some lovely new ones with amazing floral backsides which also served as inspiration for the inside porcelain artwork I created. And of course there are also the mushrooms!

A new collection of notebooks filled with floral decorated pages. These porcelain notebooks are real treasures for everyone who loves the slow art of writing, collecting quotes and dried flowers and everything made of beautiful paper. They are available at the ceramic markets.

‘ In the poet’s garden’, is an antique book filled with different blooming flowers.

It’s inspired by this quote by Antonio Gaudi:

‘ The great book,

always open and

which we should make

an effort to read,

is that of nature.’

New glass boxes in a different size which hold tiny worlds of mushrooms and ferns on a soft carpet of real dried moss.

And you guessed it… there are new glass domes too!

Inspired by my love for lost and ancient pieces that have been treasured in the past and tell about long forgotten lives, I’ve created these new pieces.

Antique medicine boxes are redecorated and now filled with flowers, butterflies and beetles. A modern keepsake which still holds these long forgotten memories.

The coming weekend I will be at the Delftse Keramiekdagen if you’d like to see my artwork! The next markets will be Siegburg(DE), Porfest in the Park (UK) and Oldenburg (DE).
